We created Breez in 2015 to make the benefits of cannabis accessible to everyone. At the time, my grandfather was struggling with the side-effects of aggressive cancer treatment. I spent weeks trying (and failing) to convince him to try cannabis for relief. No matter what study, article, or statistic I shared, he refused. On our last night together he told me, “I know you’re right. I know cannabis can help me. But I just can’t do it.” I left heartbroken and called my partner Anna from the road home – we realized my grandfather needed to overcome the stigma and misunderstandings leftover from prohibition – he needed a product that was simple, reliable and above all accessible. That’s when Breez was born.
